Found Art Tuesday

The theme this week was Fire. Here is my effort – left in the carbonated drinks isle in Tesco!

The Pastels were so incredibly messy and the drawing was very easily smudged. In the end I sprayed it with some varnish I have, which is meant for oil and acrylic paint! It seemed to work though!

Thanks for posting so quickly! I also spray the pastels with varnish and that does tend to protect it from smudging, but you'll see how interesting it is to work with pastels, I almost never use them alone in a painting because I get frustrated with all the dust! I like the way you illustrated fire! My piece is coming soon!!!

Thank you Rosa, I'm glad you liked it. I enjoyed drawing it, but as you say the dust is a nightmare!

I didn't think I had posted that quickly - I thought my posting was late! But we're in different time zones so that is perhaps why it seems earlier to you. Which time zone are you in?

Hi Cynthia. Thank you for visiting my blog also!

I love your blog! Clay is really my first love. Once I have some order in my home (and find somewhere to fire the pieces) I hope I'll find the space to make more pieces. I have plenty of clay, but sadly it's just sitting there at the moment!
